Welcome to Your New
Journey in Learning

At the Adolescent Learning Lab, teens and tweens are approached with curiosity and respect as they start down a new academic path. Whether the challenge lies in developing executive functioning skills, tackling the nuances of a specific subject, or something in between, I’m here to support diverse learners every step of the way.

About A.L.L.

The Adolescent Learning Lab was created by me—Chloe Smith, BCSE—to fill the gap that I saw in providing deeply human learning services to bright and funny kids who were not performing as well as they could in school. Thus, the central principle behind the work of A.L.L. is that all kids are capable.

Some learners simply need to understand their own tendencies in order to work more productively, others need a trusted source outside of the home to uncover strategies that foster their best work, and still others have to engage in directed self-reflection that can break bad habits.

I am a NASET Board Certified Special Educator who is Orton Gillingham + trained by the Institute for Multisensory Education, and I have over 25 years of school-based teaching and administrative experience. As a Principal, Grade Dean, and English teacher, I have worked with hundreds of middle and school students and their families to uncover the true source of academic issues that are standing in a child’s way and open the door for self-discovery and success.
